Almost nobody is good at longboarding right away. You’ll find some longboarders who catch on to the basics in no time at all. And others need to have more time to get comfortable with the feel of it, the balance, and motions. All longboarders learned helpful tricks/tips from their friends that helped to learn quicker. Here are a few hints and tips for you to keep in mind as you choose your first longboard and work at taking that very first ride home. You’re watching longboarders and think, “That’s looks so easy, dude.” It looks like little more than pushing with one foot and then just balancing. But surfing looks easy, too. Just stand up on a wave! But if you try it, you’ll immediately discover longboarding only “looks” easy. You’ll need to practice and it takes skill to do all the cool expert tricks. Just starting out? Here are some good points to take with you because they’ll decrease the pain. Longboarding, really – how tough can it be? Are you really just standing on it? But wait, is it true the board will do the work? If you’re new to it, then maybe you’re wondering about these questions. But for sure, you’ll soon realize there’s a lot more to it than standing on a moving longboard. You’ll have to practice to gain the skills you’ll need to longboard well.
