A resistor is an electrical component comprised of two-terminals that produce voltage proportional to the electrical current which passes through it. Voltage is the power that causes current to flow within a given circuit. Resistance, which controls this current flow, is measured in Ohms. Flow of currents must be regulated in order for the electrical part or component to function properly.
